After two days and 10 games, local bowler Bubba Larson finds himself a ways back in the pack in the qualifying standings at the 2013 Junior Gold North Pointe Championship bowling tournament in Detroit.

Larson, 14, has a two-day, 10-game score of 1,619, which puts him in 227th place out of 315 bowlers in the qualifying round at the national tournament. Each bowler in the field will bowl five more games today, with the top 45 advancing to the advancers round of the competition after 15 games of bowling.

On Monday, Larson bowled games of 112-190-122-177-197 for a total score of 798, which put him tied for 188th after day one of the competition. He improved his five-game score on Tuesday, posting a 146-144-142-204-185 for a total score of 821. However, the field apparently improved even more as Larson dropped 39 spots in the standings heading into today's third day of qualifying games.
