Kenneth Dale Thomas, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

Kenneth Dale Thomas, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

He was born Feb. 27, 1931, to Dale Felix and Velma Britton in Quinter.

He was a farmer and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had been a resident of Garden City since 1967.

On Aug. 20, 1950, he was married to Norma Sperling in Scott City. She survives.

Other survivors include four sons,âã Kenton Thomas of Fort Worth, Texas, Mike and Vicki Thomas of Garden City, Rick Thomas of Garden City, Kevin and Lynette Thomas of Holcomb; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Kendal Thomas; and one grandson, Ian Thomas.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Garden City.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.

Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home, 620 N. Main St., Garden City, KS 67846.
