SYRACUSE — Helen Louise (Cooper) Ausbun, 87, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, in Syracuse.

SYRACUSE — Helen Louise (Cooper) Ausbun, 87, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, in Syracuse.

She was born May 14, 1926, in Bethany, Okla., to Howard Clifford Cooper and Margaret Cecile (Garmon) Cooper.

She married Harold William Ausbun on Oct. 12, 1947, at Hugoton.

She and her husband pastored the Lamar First Christian Church in Lamar, Colo., for 14 years. She was a seamstress and homemaker as well.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Harold Ausbun of Lafayette, Ind.; a daughter, Margaret Susan Ausbun of Lamar, Colo.; a brother, Bill Cooper of Wichita; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two daughters, Patricia Carol and Sandra Kay Ausbun.

Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hugoton Church of God.

Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton.
