Rudy G. Valenzuela, 61, of Kansas City, passed away Feb. 4, 2014, at his residence.

Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the White Chapel Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 6800 W. 93rd St., Overland Park, KS 66212.

Rudy was born in Garden City on Jan. 27, 1953, his parents are Rudolph M. "Rudy" Valenzuela and Lillian (Pittman) Calihan. He attended public school in Garden City, Kan. He graduated from Kansas State University. At the time of his passing, he was working at ProAct Marketing Group as vice president and part owner focusing on Internet and creative services.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Lillian and Ray H. "Pat" Calihan of Gold Canyon, Ariz.; his sister, Robin Lynn Valenzuela (Jeff) of Garden City, Kan.; stepsisters, Janice Williams of Tempe, Ariz., Cathi Vincent (David) of Elizabeth, Colo., and Boni Burkhart (Darwin) of Wichita, Kan.; and many other relatives and friends.
