HUGOTON — Eldon Lee Nichols, 64, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.

HUGOTON — Eldon Lee Nichols, 64, died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, at Stevens County Hospital in Hugoton.

He was born Sept. 16, 1948, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Robert Eugene and Evelyn Marie Newton Nichols.

Mr. Nichols had been a Hugoton resident since 1991.

On Oct. 17, 1969, he married Judy L. Craghead in Manter. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Jason Nichols of Hugoton, and Marcus Nichols of Redondo Beach, Calif.; his mother, of Hutchinson; a brother, Randall Nichols of Hutchinson; two sisters, Louise Tharp and Raetta Wilson, both of Hutchinson; and three granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church in Hugoton.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton. Memorials to the Eldon Lee Nichols Memorial Fund may be sent in care of the funeral home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
