Edith E. Foster, 91, of Quinter, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013.

She was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Sheridan County, to Morris and Viva Shafer.

Mrs. Foster was a homemaker and a former teacher.

Survivors include five sons, Morris and Jack Foster, both of Grainfield, Carl Foster of Springfield, Ore., and Jerry and Rick Foster, both of Jennings; three daughters, Linda Dible and Jana Hensley, both of Oakley, and Joyce Virgil of Garden City; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna Osborn; a brother, Ralph Shafer; and a grandson.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Jennings. Burial will be in Jennings Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at Pauls Funeral Home in Selden. Condolences may be sent at www.paulsfh.com. Memorials are suggested to the Jennings American Legion, fire department or emergency medical technicians.
