SUBLETTE — Ruby Marie Ellsaesser, 99, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Satanta Long Term Care Unit in Satanta.

She was born Oct. 21, 1913, in Kingsdown, to Ernest D. and Nona May Danial Dennis.

On April 24, 1946, she married Raymond Ellsaesser. He died March 22, 1989. She also was preceded in death by a son, George Ellsaesser; her parents; and three brothers, Glen, Victor and Clifford Dennis.

Mrs. Ellsaesser worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for 20 years in the Haskell County Welfare Office and at Consumer Cooperative Association in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Meyer of Copeland; a son, Jerry Ellsaesser; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sublette United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.

Visitation hours are noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette, with the casket remaining closed. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the guest book at Memorials are suggested to Kansas School for the Deaf, in care of the funeral home.
