ELKHART — Irene Riley Anderson died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at her home in Albuquerque, N.M.

She was born March 18, 1912, in southwest Kansas, to George Parker and Ethel Robinson Riley.

After moving to Albuquerque in 1972, Mrs. Anderson began a career in real estate. She became the first female real estate broker in the area and worked until she was 90.

Survivors include two daughters, Delores Anderson of New Mexico, and Shirley Wesselhoeft of Louisiana; a son, Gene Anderson of Oklahoma; a sister, Bernice Riley Hellman of Colorado; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Anderson.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart. Burial will follow at Elkhart Cemetery.
