Rodolfo "Rudy" Carrillo, 61, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at his home in Garden City.

Rodolfo "Rudy" Carrillo, 61, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at his home in Garden City.

He was born Nov. 2, 1951, in Julimes, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Emiterio Carrillo and Rita Saez Carrillo.

In 1974, he married Irene Garcia in Garden City. She died in April 2006. He also was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mario.

In September 2009, he married Luz Rocha in Garden City.

A Garden City resident since 1970, Mr. Carrillo had been employed at Helena Chemical for 18 years as a chemical truck driver.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three daughters, Olivia Sparling of Derby, Crystal Cedillo of Garden City, and Tracey Marie Carrillo of Amarillo, Texas; a son, Adam Anthony Carrillo of Garden City; a stepson, Julian Garcia of Denver; two brothers, Ramuel Carrillo of Bovina, Texas, and Ramon Carrillo of Amarillo; three sisters, Antonia Ochoa and Romelia Carrillo, both of Julimes, and Elsa Vega of El Paso, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

Vigil service will begin at 7:30 tonight at St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
