Elda Ruth Franco, 64, of Garden City, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

Elda Ruth Franco, 64, of Garden City, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

She was born Feb. 2, 1949, in St. Clair, Mich., to James Byron and Cora Alice Daniels McInnis.

A resident of Garden City since 1964, Mrs. Franco was a homemaker. She was a member of Assembly of God Church of Lakin.

On April 27, 1964, she married Guadalupe "Lupe" Franco in Garden City. He died May 31, 2013, in Garden City. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Brenda Morales; and two brothers, James B. and Robert E. McInnis.

Survivors include two sons, Tom Franco and his wife Ronda of Garden City, and Lupe Franco Jr. of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Jacqueline Gutierrez and her husband Jesus of Scott City, and Rebecca Franklin and her husband Raymond of Park City; two sisters, Helen Mesa of Holcomb, and Alice Guillen of Amarillo, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Garden City. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
