Belinda Lee Fouse, 55, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at her home in Manhattan after a lengthy illness.

Belinda Lee Fouse, 55, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at her home in Manhattan after a lengthy illness.

She was born Aug. 6, 1957, in Springdale, Ark., to Murray and Bonnie Buller Lewis. In 1975, she graduated from Marquette High School in Marquette.

On April 1, 1982, she married Richard "Dick" Fouse in Salina. In 1993, they moved to Garden City, where she worked as a bookkeeper for Ward's Garden Service. A Manhattan resident since 1998, she worked as a bookkeeper for the Hearing Doctors of Kansas until 2010.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Brandon, of Pensacola, Fla.; her father; two brothers, Murray Elder of Houston, and Kenneth Elder of Salina; and a sister, Cindy Stinson of Lubbock, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Elder; her stepfather, Slim Elder; and a sister, Connie Burger.

A celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Faith Evangelical Free Church of Manhattan. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
