SATANTA — Penny Sue Long, 57, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her home in Satanta.

SATANTA — Penny Sue Long, 57, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at her home in Satanta.

She was born Aug. 12, 1955, in Satanta, to Doris Clymer Desrochers. She graduated from Sublette High School in 1974.

A certified nurse's aide and certified medication aide, Mrs. Long was employed at the Satanta Long Term Care Unit and Satanta District Hospital until her health no longer allowed her to work.

On Dec. 12, 2004, she married Chris Long in Satanta. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, DesiRae Jaso of Satanta, and Dalaney Little of Sublette; a son, Coty Birney of Sublette; her mother, of Sublette; a sister, Cindy Long of Satanta; a brother, Jeffery Desrochers of Garden City; two stepbrothers, Larry Pulis of Satanta, and Ronny Pulis of Russell; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sierra Little; and her grandparents, Clell and Pearl Clymer.

Graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m. today at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the guest book at Memorials are suggested to Haskell County Relay for Life, in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette.
