SCOTT CITY — Luis Rodriguez, 70, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his home in Scott City.

SCOTT CITY — Luis Rodriguez, 70, died Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his home in Scott City.

He was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Scott City, to Macedonio and Eulogia Ramirez Rodriguez.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, Mr. Rodriguez retired from Sunflower Electric in 1993 as a mechanic.

Survivors include two sons, Chris and Roque Rodriguez, both of Scott City; two daughters, Tina Garcia of Aurora, Colo., and Galena Brown of Denver; two brothers, Art Rodriguez of Canton, Okla., and Rey Rodriguez of Dodge City; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Rodriguez.

Graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.

Visitation hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City. Condolences may be given at www.priceandsons.com or pricefh@wbsnet.org. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Luis Rodriguez Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, KS 67871.
