ULYSSES — Kenneth M. "Kenny" Lozar Jr., 49, of Ulysses, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

ULYSSES — Kenneth M. "Kenny" Lozar Jr., 49, of Ulysses, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.

He was born Sept. 8, 1964, in Ulysses, to Kenneth Martin Sr. and Judith Ann "Judy" Downey Lozar. He graduated from Ulysses High School.

Mr. Lozar was a journeyman lineman for Pioneer Electric for the last 23 years and also was co-owner of The Iron Horse.

He married Tyra Lee on March 8, 2014, in Ulysses. She survives. Other survivors include his sons, Jason and Jamey Lozar, both of Ulysses, Leif Elliott of Garden City, and Shane Olson of the home; a daughter, Sara Olson of the home; his mother, of Kirbyville, Mo.; a sister, Karin Gwin of Quapaw, Okla.; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Andrea Lozar.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Shelton Memorial Christian Church in Ulysses. Burial will follow at Ulysses Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Garnand Funeral Home in Ulysses. Memorials are suggested to DuGood Events, in care of the funeral home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
