LA JUNTA, Colo. — Gloria V. Aragon, 75, of La Junta, Colo., died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at St. Anthony's Care Center in Lakewood, Colo. She was born April 16, 1938, to Bruno and Maria Yslas Vela. On April 12, 1958, she married Alfredo "Freddie" Aragon in Raton, N.M. He died in 1982. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Max Vela.

LA JUNTA, Colo. — Gloria V. Aragon, 75, of La Junta, Colo., died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at St. Anthony's Care Center in Lakewood, Colo. She was born April 16, 1938, to Bruno and Maria Yslas Vela. Survivors include her children, Freddie Aragon of Collinsville, Okla., Joyce Aragon and Dean Aragon, both of Liberal, Teresa Aragon of Garden City, Donna Wilson of Medford, Ore., Gloria Aragon of Littleton, Colo., and Angela Aragon-Mostek of Lakewood; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jesus, Edward, Tommy and John Vela; and five sisters, Lilly Vela, Kathy Ponce, Ermina Slaughter, Juanita Hinkhouse and Georgia Atz.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Visitation hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta. Send condolences at www.peacockfh.com.
