ELKHART — Phillip D. Fink, 86, of Elkhart, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.

ELKHART — Phillip D. Fink, 86, of Elkhart, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.

He was born on April 3, 1927, to Chart and Leona Schoor Fink in Plevna. On Sept. 13, 1954, he was married to Hadean Hull in Clayton, NM. She died in 2008.

Mr. Fink served in the Army in 1945. Phillip was a full-time farmer.

Survivors include his three children, Sarita S. Blakeley, Phillip John Fink, Salena Jane Hurn, all of Elkhart; two brothers, Harold (Dutch) Fink of Rye, Colo., Kenneth (Jim) Fink of Elkhart; a sister, Dorothy Ann Farrington of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson, Aidan Rey Renteria; a brother, Robert (Bob) Fink; and a sister, Charleen Blodgett.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home Chapel in Elkhart. Interment will follow at the Elkhart Cemetery with military rites conducted.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Garnand Funeral Home in Elkhart. The family requests memorials be given to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 854, Elkhart, KS 67950.
