HANSTON — Marla L. (Berger) Holmes, 55, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at the Houston Hospice in Houston, Texas.

HANSTON — Marla L. (Berger) Holmes, 55, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at the Houston Hospice in Houston, Texas.

She was born June 10, 1958, to Milton Lee and Wanda Dunn Berger in Dodge City.

On July 15, 1978, she was married to Roger Holmes at Jetmore. He survives.

A lifetime area resident of Hanston, Mrs. Holmes was a Speech and Language Pathologist for Southwest Kansas Area Cooperative District No. 613.

Other survivors include: two sons, Joshua Holmes of Hanston and Drew Holmes of Hays; her mother of Jetmore; three sisters, Brenda K. Herrman of Cimarron, Darla D. Korf of Humboldt, Marsha L. Fitzsimmons of Fort Morgan, Colo.; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Hanston. Burial will be at Hanston Cemetery

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today and Sunday at the Beckwith Funeral Home in Jetmore.
