SYRACUSE — Freddie Junior Westeman, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Seasons Of Life Living Center in Syracuse.

SYRACUSE — Freddie Junior Westeman, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Seasons Of Life Living Center in Syracuse.

He was born Aug. 10, 1937, in Syracuse, to Frederick William Westeman and Bessie Orene Smith Westeman. He graduated from Coolidge High School in 1955. Mr. Westeman was a resident engineer at the State of Kansas Department of Transportation. He served in the National Guard. On Feb. 24, 1968, he married Susan O. Hatton. They later divorced.

Survivors include a brother, Jerry Westeman of Wichita; and two sisters, Orene Martin of Johnson City, and Arlene Kirby of Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kara Sue Westeman; and two brothers, Arthur and Rodger Westeman.

Funeral will begin at 10 a.m. MDT Monday at First Christian Church in Syracuse. Burial will follow at Syracuse Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 1 to 7 p.m. MDT Sunday at Fellers Funeral Home LLC, Syracuse. Condolences may be sent to fellersfh@yahoo.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials payable to Seasons Of Life Living Center may be sent in care of the funeral home, Box 1253, Syracuse, KS 67878.
