John Lee Katz, 67, formerly of Wichita, died Oct. 2, 2013, in Shell Knob, Mo.

He was born Sept. 22, 1946, in Dodge City, Kan.

John married Roxy Fitzgerald Katz on June 21, 1967.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Katz; and brother, Jerry Katz. His survivors are wife, Roxy; children, Kami (Scott) Sjoberg, Jaci (Mike Watkins) Katz; grandkids, Anthony John Watkins, David John and John Richard Sjoberg; siblings, Jolene Katz, Stanley Katz and Traci Brown.

He retired as an insurance broker at John Katz & Assoc., to travel with his motorhome and enjoy life at Table Rock. He loved golfing, motorcycles, remote control airplanes, restoring his classic '62 Corvette, and his family. "Not enough hours in the day," Mr. MacGyver could fix anything. He never met a stranger and he truly lived life to the fullest.

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be sent to Multiple Sclerosis Society, 7611 Stateline Road #100, Kansas City, MO 64114.
