Lisa Anne Van Doren, 52, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at her home in Estes Park, Colo.

Lisa Anne Van Doren, 52, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at her home in Estes Park, Colo.

She was born June 20, 1961, in Kansas City, Kan., to Phil and Barbara Jones Van Doren. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1979 and began working at Dillon's Grocery in the business office. She later moved into Dillon's Quick Shop management team and worked in Larned and Dodge City. She was active in the Girl Scouts of America for many years. She also enjoyed acting and singing. Health issues forced her into disability and in 2008 she moved from Wichita to Estes Park, where she was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church.

Survivors include her mother, of Estes Park; three brothers, Dr. Bryan Van Doren of Tulsa, Okla., Mark Van Doren of Victoria, Texas, and Eric Van Doren of Garden City; and two sisters, Susan Connor of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Karen Bare of Hutchinson. Her father died in 2008.

A Mass of the Christian Burial celebrated Lisa's life at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Mountains Church. Burial took place at Estes Valley Memorial Gardens.
