Western Kansas Community Foundation recently awarded several grants

Western Kansas Community Foundation recently awarded several grants

from its quarterly unrestricted pool. Organizations and grant amounts

awarded included:

* Leave a Legacy Foundation of Garden City, $9,600;

* Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland Council of Garden City, $1,240;

* Scott County Recreation Commission of Scott City, $2,500;

* Grant County Chamber of Commerce, Home Products Dinner, Ulysses, $1,000;

* Stepping Stone Shelter, Liberal, $2,000;

* and Youth Entrepreneurs, Garden City, $3,000.

Western Kansas Community Foundation, located in Garden City, serves a

15 county area in the southwest corner of the state. The foundation

awarded $988,259 in grants in 2012 and is well on its way to making

awards of over $1 million in 2013.

Quarterly applications for unrestricted grant funding are welcome

from non-profits or charitable entities within the foundation's service
