Balloon presentation Friday at schools

Royce Miller, of Guymon, Okla., will present a hot air balloon demonstration on Friday for the students and staff at Alta Brown Elementary School, 1110 E. Pine St., at 1 p.m. and at Charles O. Stones Intermediate Center, 401 Jennie Barker Road, at 2:30 p.m.

He will talk to the students about the mechanics of a hot air balloon. If the weather permits, the students and staff will witness the inflation of a hot air balloon on the playground at each school.

Miller and 12 other balloonists plan to be in Garden City Friday through Sunday for the 10th Annual Garden City Hot Air Balloon Classic at the Finney County Fairgrounds.
