Garden City Arts is now accepting registrations for three programs

Garden City Arts is now accepting registrations for three programs

available to area school children. Classes will begin the second week of

September at the arts gallery, 318 N. Main St.

"Walls Halls" is open to students in fourth through 12th grade.

Students create artwork in preparation to exhibit and sell their

creations. Class meets from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays beginning Sept. 12 and

runs for nine weeks. Fee is $100 for non-members, $75 for members.

"Garden on the Gogh" is open to students in fifth through 12th grade

who are at-risk, disabled or experiencing adversity in life. Through

art, students will learn to cope with challenge and learn real-life work

skills. Class meets from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Sept. 10 and

runs for nine weeks. Fee is $100 for non-members, $75 for members.

"Art Days" is open to students in first through eighth grade on

district in-service days. This all-day program integrates art with

reading, math and science. Students create art, build scientific

experiments and write a lesson journal for their parents. Lunch and

snacks will be provided. This class will be available 10 days during the

school year, beginning Oct. 18. Fee is $225 for non-members, $200 for

members.

Scholarships will be available for all programs. Register early as
