Officials to take part in drug 'Take-Back'

The Garden City Police Department, along with the Finney County

Sheriff's Office, on Saturday will take part in the nationwide

prescription drug "Take-Back" initiative, sponsored by the Drug

Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Officers will be at the east entrance of Walmart, 3101 E. Kansas

Ave., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. collecting expired, unused and unwanted

prescription drugs from anyone who wishes to dispose of these items

anonymously.

The drop site will not accept illicit drugs such as marijuana and

methamphetamine, or intra-venous solutions, injectables, and needles.
