The American Legion's Veterans Day program for the community will commence shortly after the Saturday morning parade at the American Legion, 405 S. Main St.

The Legion also has announced the winners of the annual poster contest for area fifth-graders. Lexy Iman of Holcomb claimed first place; second place went to Xavier Lindsey from Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center; and Janessa Montez of Charles Stones Intermediate Center took third place.
