SAFE Night planned at Kenneth Henderson

Kenneth Henderson Middle School, 2406 Fleming St., will hold a SAFE Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kenneth Henderson Middle School, 2406 Fleming St., will hold a SAFE Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

SAFE stands for Seatbelts Are For Everyone and is run by the school's

Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) group. The focus of the

program is to improve safety habits when it comes to driving.

There will be a number of organizations present to provide

demonstrations and information about distracted driving, texting while

driving, drinking and driving, and more. Participants will have the

opportunity to explore what can happen when you don't practice safety

precautions and drive with distractions.

Parents and youth are encouraged to attend the free event. There also will be food and drawings for prizes during the evening.
