The Garden City High School Career Center has applications for the

Hugh O'Brien Youth (HOBY) Leadership Seminar that will take place in

June 2014. GCHSl sophomores are encouraged to apply for a chance to be

this year's HOBY Representative for the school.

The Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Seminar will be held at one of the

universities in Kansas. It is one of the oldest and most prominent youth

leadership organizations in the world. The criteria for selection

includes: leadership ability/potential, sensitivity to others, courage

to speak out, creative problem solving, and good oral and/or written

communication skills. The emphasis will be on personal incentive and

leadership potential.

The completed applications are due back to the GCHS Career Center by
