Garden City Recreation Commission will present Disney's "The Little Mermaid JR!" July 12 and 13 in the auditorium at Garden City High School.

Based on a story by Hans Christian Anderson, the plot concerns King Triton's daughter, Ariel, who wants nothing more than to be human. When offered that chance by the sea witch Ursula, Ariel embarks on an adventure with legs, love, and a lot of singing and dancing.

Directed by Brian Seagraves, with music direction and choreography by Misty Baldwin and Lisa Yarberry, the cast features nearly 90 area youth age 5 to 19.

Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and Arts Angels. Tickets are available at 310 N. Sixth St., or at the door.

For more information about the production or details about becoming an Arts Angel, call 276-1200, email bseagraves@garden-city.org or stop by the activity center.
