Garden City Police Department



Blanca Vital, 26, 1115 N. 11th St., was arrested at 3:15 a.m. in the 500 block of East Kansas Avenue on allegations of driving under the influence and refusal of a breathalyzer test.

Jerrell Paterson, 18, 2615 N. Main, Apt. 7d, was arrested at 3:58 p.m. in the 2300 block of North Eighth Street on allegations of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Juan Herrera, 19, 2109 N. Eighth St., was arrested at 5:33 a.m. in the 200 block of Evans Street on an allegation of persons under 21 in consumption of alcohol.

Jose Cortez-Jimenez, 22, 1310 A St., was arrested at Taco Bell, 2212 E. Kansas Ave., on allegations of driving under the influence, transporting an open container and no proof of insurance.

Ricki Bowman, 50, 1215 Pinecrest Ave., was arrested at 6:46 p.m. in the 600 block of Pershing Avenue on allegations of assault and driving under the influence.

Susan Reyes-Sandoval, 35, 2914 Fleming St., Apt. #306, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of Evans Street on allegations of driving under the influence, refusal to submit a breathalyzer test, driving while suspended, aggravated endangering of a child, transporting an open container, contributing to a child's misconduct and tampering.


Tylar Partington, 15, 2010 N. Belmont Place, was cited and released at 2 p.m. at Garden City High School, 2720 N. Buffalo Way on an allegation of reckless driving.

At 11:30 a.m. in the 400 block of East Olive Street, a 10 year old from Garden City struck a teacher with rude contact, then struck an officer several times. The child was released to parents.

Criminal Damage


Between 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of Wheatridge Drive, someone entered an unlocked vehicle and took sunglasses and a phone charger. Loss: $305.



Between 12:05 a.m. and 8 a.m. in the 1500 block of Laurel Street, someone dented a vehicle with an unknown object. Loss: $200.


Between 7 p.m. Sunday and 2 p.m. Monday, an unknown suspect listed a dog for sale on Craiglist and the victim paid money for the dog. The dog has not been delivered. Loss: $490.

Kansas Highway Patrol


Victor Saenz-Avila, 32, Hoxie, was arrested at 6:10 a.m. on allegations of driving without a valid license, driving under the influence, and driving without liability insurance.

Finney County Sheriff's Office


Ruben Fernandez, 18, 6616 E. Skyline Drive, was arrested at 12:05 p.m. on allegations of two counts burglary and two counts of theft.

Justin Lane, 20, Lakin, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. on an order to arrest and detain.
