City commission set to discuss a slate of various issues

The Garden City Commission will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the City Administrative Center, 301 N. Eighth St.

Items on the agenda include ordinances regulating maximum speed

limits, establishing penalties for licensees whose employees or agents

are convicted of selling or furnishing alcohol to a minor, and

establishing court costs for municipal court; a resolution authorizing

the removal of nuisance vehicles and conditions on property located in

the 1300 block of New York Avenue; a resolution authorizing the

execution of a tax compliance agreement relating to the issuance of

revenue bonds by the Kansas Municipal Energy Agency for the Jameson

Energy Center; discussion of a membership agreement between the city and

Great Plains Development, Inc.; and consideration of an agreement to

purchase property at 2321 N. Eighth St.
