Garden City woman injured in accident

A Garden City woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident Monday afternoon at the intersection of the U.S. Highway 50/83 bypass and Schulman Road.

Maria L. Montano, 29, sustained injuries in the accident, which took place at approximately 1:35 p.m.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Montano, who was driving a 2005 Ford F150 pickup, and Kee Ha, 43, Garden City, who was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot, each was stopped at a red light on the bypass, when Charles W. Siebert, 60, Garden City, who was eastbound in a a 1999 Freightliner semi, rear-ended Montano's vehicle, pushing it into Ha's vehicle.

Montano was taken to St. Catherine Hospital, where she was treated and released. Neither Seibert nor Ha were injured in the collision.

According to the KHP, all three were wearing seat belts.
