The Finney County Commission will meet at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Finney County Administrative Center, 311 N. Ninth St.

Commissioners will review a revised tax abatement policy and discuss a

new job incentives policy with representatives of the Finney County

Economic Development Corp. If approved, the job incentive policy would

create a process allowing a cash incentive to be paid to companies and

businesses in exchange for providing a certain number of quality jobs.

Other items on the agenda include discussion of a contract with

several local attorneys to provide indigent defense services; an update

on efforts to keep the Lesser Prairie Chicken from being listed as a

threatened species; monthly reports from the health department and

Emergency Medical Services; review of bids for a bridge project; and

discussion of planning and zoning rules covering private recreational

land uses.
