GCCC offers ABC's of Accounting


Business owners, managers and others who need to learn the basics of

accounting can count on a two-session short course coming up from the

Garden City Community College Business and Community Education

Department. The department is offering the ABCs of Accounting from 1 to 5

p.m. Sept. 17 and 18. The course is being taught by veteran instructor

Jamie Morphew at a cost of $175 per person.

"This is a class about accounting principles for the non-accountant,"

said Jean Warta, department director. "It will cover the accounting

equation and accounting cycle, using real-life small business accounting

studies. Participants will employ mini-case studies during the class to

reinforce the skills they learn."

Student and Community Services Center. Classes will take place only with

sufficient enrollment. Please register at least one week prior to the

start of class.
