The Garden City Community College Small Business Development Center

in October will offer a three-hour workshop providing information about

starting a business. The free workshop "Steps to Startup" will run from

6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 3 and will be in Room 2023 of the Student and

Community Services Center on campus.

The workshop will outline the necessary and fundamental steps in

starting and operating a small business. Information on grants and

financing, business ideas and feasibility will be covered.

Pre-registration is required, but there is no charge for the

workshop, which will be presented in cooperation with the U.S. Small

Business Administration and the Kansas Department of Commerce.

sufficient enrollment.
