Liberal 40, Ulysses 30

At Liberal, the Redskins shut down the Ulysses offense after the first quarter as they took a 40-30 win over the Tigers.

Down 11-9 after the first quarter, Liberal held the Tigers to just 19 points the rest of the game.

Britton Abbot led the Redskins with nine points Elmer Quintana, while Hayden Coker added 8 each.

Nathan Medina led Ulysses with 10 points, six of those on free throws.

Holcomb 66, SW Heights 54

At Kismet, the Holcomb Longhorns pulled away in the second half to defeat Southwestern Heights 66-54.

Up just 27-26 at halftime, the Longhorns pulled away in the second half, outscoring the Mustangs 39-28 over the final two quarters.

Heath Tucker led Holcomb with 23 points while Trey Sleep added 14.

Nate Johnsrud led the Mustangs with 14 points.

At Leoti, the visiting Broncs took care of Wichita County 65-50 in Hi-Plains League action.

Lakin held the Indians to just 12 points in the first half as they cruised to the win.

Ryder Yakel and Pancho Klassen led Lakin with 13 points each, with Caleb Seeger adding 10.

Jantz Budde led all scorers with 22 points, while Casey Day added 12 for the Indians.

At Johnson, the Cimarron Bluejays took care of Stanton County 58-43 in Hi-Plains League action.

Down 19-17 at halftime, Cimarron exploded for 39 second-half points while holding the Trojans to just 24.

Christian Fischer led the Jays with 22 points. Caleb Fischer added 12. The Jays were just 6 of 17 from the free throw line.

Jacob Cron led Stanton County with 16 points, all on field goals. Cole Smith added 11.

The Trojans were 0 of 2 from the free throw line.

At Montezuma, the South Gray Rebels held on for a win in a high-scoring affair with Ingalls, 80-63.

South Grey jumped out to a 22-10 first quarter lead and went up 44-23 at halftime, though they were outscored 40-36 in the second half.

Zach Batman led all scorers in a losing effort with 22 points, while Kendall Dwyre added 11 for Ingalls.

South Gray had three players in double figures, led by Tate Skinner and Jake Peters with 16 each and Carson Skidmore with 12.
