Tree limbs falling into power lines near the intersection of Theron and Hackberry streets caused a brief power outage late Wednesday night, including shutting down some street lights and traffic signals on Kansas Avenue.

The outage started around 11:17 p.m. City crews had the power back on by 12:32 a.m., according to Mike Muirhead, public utilities director. He said 659 meters were affected, generally limited to a north-central section of town.
