The season-opening game for the Garden City Community College Lady Broncbusters soccer team against Trinidad State (Colo.) Junior College, scheduled for 5 p.m. today at the new GCCC athletic complex, has been cancelled.

Ryan Ruda, athletic director at GCCC, made the announcement in a telephone interview with The Telegram early Thursday evening.

Ruda declined to give a specific reason for the cancellation, but did say the game would be rescheduled for later in the season.

The Lady Busters are coming off a 2012 season in which they went 1-15 overall.

Next scheduled game for the Lady Busters will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hutchinson in their Jayhawk Conference opener.
