A Garden City man who police allege was involved in a burglary in November 2013 at Gere's LLC has been arrested following the execution of two search warrants on Saturday.

Authorities arrested 38-year-old Michael Hartley, 1611 Jan St., at 10:36 a.m. Tuesday. He is being held without bond in the Finney County Jail on suspicion of burglary, theft and criminal damage to property.

Garden City police previously had reported that one or more people had broken into Gere's sometime between Nov. 27 and 28, removing tools and shop equipment valued at about $56,952.

The Finney County Sheriff's Office executed search warrants at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at 1992 1/2 Chmelka Road, Lot B, and 750 N. Ritchel Road in connection with the burglary at Gere's. Some of the items that had been reported stolen from Gere's, 3102 N. VFW Road, were found during the searches, according to the sheriff's office.

The value of the recovered items was not known at press time.
