The Garden City Police Department will conduct a DUI saturation patrol within the city limits of Garden City on Friday.

The purpose of the patrol is to saturate pre-designated areas with additional police officers that continually monitor vehicular traffic for signs of impaired driving. The patrols also place an emphasis on speeding, safety belt and other alcohol-related violations.

The cost of the saturation patrol is covered through the Impaired Driving Deterrence Program grant provided by the Kansas Department of Transportation.
