Scott City 51, Thomas More Prep-Marian 7

At Hays, TMP wasn't able to get out of the gates quickly enough to put up much of a fight against a tough foe in the Scott City Beavers. The Monarchs fell behind early as Scott City scored on a 41-yard run from Paco Banda.

The Beavers continued to pour it on as Kropp had the next three touchdowns for the Beavers on runs of 12, 38, and 26 yards, respectively. Scott City would take a commanding 41-0 lead going into halftime, and eventually would win 51-7.

The Monarchs had their only points of the night in the fourth quarter on a 15-yard pass to Romme from McGaffin. Scott City improves to 7-1 on the season, and 2-0 in district play. TMP on the other hand falls to 2-6 on the season and 1-1 in district play.

Ulysses 41, Pratt 21

At Ulysses, the Tigers got off to a quick start and they kept it going behind a big second quarter in which they scored 27 points on route to a 41-21 victory over the Pratt Greenbacks.

The Tigers started off the scoring first on a 45-yard run from Ian Rudzik, then Rudzik scored again on a 10-yard punt return off of a quick kick. The Greenbacks would score in the second quarter on a pass from Brendon Ruckle to Derek Barnard.

After that, it would be all Ulysses in the rest of the second and third quarters as Pratt would be unable to score until they reach the end zone twice in the fourth quarter. The win brings Ulysses to 7-1 on the season and 2-0 in district play, while Pratt will go to 2-6 on the season and 0-2 in district play.

Cimarron 54, Southwestern Heights 6

At Cimarron, the Bluejays kept their playoff hopes alive with a 54-6 district win over visiting Southwestern Heights.

Cimarron (4-4, 1-1 in district) took a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and scored 33 unanswered after that in the dominating win against the Mustangs (3-5, 0-2).

Caleb Fischer, returning after a month due to injury, was 16-for-22 and 269 yards and five touchdowns.

AJ Cooper and Ty Clark caught two touchdown passes each, and Clark added an 90-yard interception return for a score.

Christian Fischer caught six passes for 168 yards and a score.

Efrain Chavez led Heights with 150 yards on 34 carries.

Cimarron will host Holcomb Thursday in the final district game.

Meade 28, Elkhart 6

At Elkhart, the Wildcats were unable to outlast the Meade Buffaloes as the Wildcats were did not muster much offense until the fourth quarter.

It was all too late then as Meade would win 28-6. After a scoreless first quarter, Meade would go into halftime up 8-0, and the scoring for Meade would continue from there as they scored eight more in the third, while getting the last 12 of their points in the fourth quarter. Elkhart's only points of the night came on the lone touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The win improved the Buffs to 7-1 overall and 3-1 in district, while the Wildcats dropped to 7-1 and 2-1.

Stanton County 34, Syracuse 0

At Johnson City, the Stanton County Trojans won big, as they defeated the visiting Syracuse Bulldogs 34-0. Jacob Cron of the Trojans had a good night as he finished the game with three of the Trojans five touchdowns. Jeremy Amerin and Angel Molina would have the other two touchdowns on what was a good night for the Trojans.

The win took the Trojans to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in Class 2-1A, District 8. The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 0-3 and 0-8.
