Wendy Mayo and Jake Hushon, both of Fort Atkinson, Wis., were married May 23, 2014, at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, Colo. The 4 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. David Bell.

The bride's parents are Steve and Michelle Mayo of Garden City. Her grandparents are Cliff and Pat Mayo of Garden City.

The groom is the son of Patricia Hushon of York, Pa.; and Dan Hushon of Lancaster, Pa. His grandparents are Joseph and Patricia Hushon of Delta, Pa.; and Raymond and Ella Mae Thomas of Forest Hill, Md.

Maid of honor was Stacy Mayo of Manhattan. Matron of honor was Megan Mayo Ryan of Denver. Bridesmaids were Shellie Moore Collins of Chattanooga, Okla.; Melissa Buehler of Fairbury, Neb.; Becky Graham of Homewood, Ala.; and Betsy Sexton of McKinney, Texas.

Best man was Josh Hushon of North Prairie, Wis. Groomsmen were Joseph Hushon of Airville, Pa.; Ryan Connaghan of Felton, Pa.; Robert Beckard of Fort Atkinson; Ryan Anthony of King of Prussia, Pa.; and Ryan Olson of Watertown, Wis.

Flower girls were Cierra Collins of Chattanooga; and Neely Davis of Wheeler, Texas.

Serving as ushers were John Olkowski of Red Lion, Pa.; and Steve Firestone of York.

Soloist was Kayla Lee of Leawood.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Spruce Mountain Ranch. Assistants were Dallas Miller of Roeland Park; Bob and Kay Lee of Garden City; Kelsey Lee of Stillwater, Okla.; and Amanda Duensing of Papillion, Neb.

The bride graduated from Garden City High School in 2001. After attending two years at Butler County Community College, she graduated from Kansas State University with a dual degree in agriculture communications and journalism and animal sciences and industry. She is a marketing communications manager at Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North America.

The groom graduated from Penn State University with a degree in agribusiness management. He is a marketing manager for New Generation Genetics.

The couple plans to take a honeymoon at the end of August to visit Ireland and England. They are at home in Fort Atkinson.
