Wolfe to celebrate 90th

Darrel Wolfe of Deerfield will celebrate his 90th birthday on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. His daughter, Marilyn, has requested a card shower in his honor to celebrate the milestone.

Darrel was born May 6, 1924, in Hoisington and grew up in Phillipsburg. While still in high school he went to work for Kansas Nebraska Natural Gas Co., taking time off to serve in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After his discharge, he returned home to continue his career with KN, retiring in 1990 as a contractor for KN Energy.

He and his wife, Laura, were married in 1947. His children are Terry (deceased) and Marilyn of Deerfield.

Oberlander to celebrate 91st

Elaine Oberlander will celebrate her 91st birthday on May 12, 2014.

A Holcomb resident for 27 years before moving to Garden City, she now resides in Cimarron.

Friends and family are invited to participate in a card shower. Cards may be sent to her at The Shepherd's Center, 706 N. Main, Cimarron, KS 67835.
