Ruth Dunlap won high in the four tables of senior center pinochle played Wednesday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Mary Ann Binns took second place. Third went to Leonard Yardley.

Duplicate bridge

The Garden City Duplicate Bridge Club had their regular game Aug. 12 designated a "Unit Championship" through an ACBL sanction. No slams were found and just 19 games were bid and made amid healthy competition. A 62 percent game posted by May Craig and Jon Kempton earned first place. Second place went to Dorothy Bartlett and Virginia Enslow, just two points ahead of a tie between Pat Barber and Faye Anderson against Gerry Schultz and Jerry Soldner.

Tuesday's session saw three slams and a dozen games as Roger Morris and Dorothy Bartlett claimed first place with a 56 percent game. Rusty Farr and Donna Morris were second.

Regular games begin at 7 p.m. Monday, 1:15 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., with all bridge players welcome. For partners, call Kempton at 276-2876.
