Senior center pitch

Bob Ellis won high in the two tables of senior center pitch played Tuesday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Second place went to Jerry Wallace. Maybelle Bowen took third.

Finney Flyers 4-H

The Finney Flyers 4-H Club met Nov. 3, with eight members, two leaders and five parents in attendance. For roll call, a favorite Thanksgiving food was named.

An informal officer induction ceremony took place. New officers are: Randy Cole, president; Annabeth Ratzlaff, vice president; Carrie Hall, secretary; Jessie Sorizanto, treasurer; Peter Hall, parliamentarian; Christy Hall, reporter; Courtney Cole and Carrie Hall, council members; Natalie Radke, song leader; and Alex Sorizanto, recreation leader.

The 4-H Challengers Club was welcomed into Finney Flyers.

Tony Sorizanto gave a presentation about his kittens. The minutes were accepted as corrected. Jessie Sorizanto led the singing of "The Bug Juice Song." For recreation, the club created candy turkeys.

The projects from the Splatterworks field trip, which about 12 people attended, were handed out after the meeting.

Events in November included a wound care field trip on Nov. 7, officer training on Nov. 14 and the achievement banquet on Nov. 17.

The next meeting is Sunday at the 4-H Building and will include a Christmas party with a white-elephant exchange. Re-enrollment forms are due then.

Jeanette Taylor won high in Monday's session of senior center double pinochle at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Delores Atkinson took second place. Third went to Donna Preston.
