Lori M. Gill, who is assigned to Headquarters Air Combat Command at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel on Aug. 1.

Lori M. Gill, who is assigned to Headquarters Air Combat Command at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel on Aug. 1.

She is the daughter of Jesse and Stella Gill of Garden City. She graduated from Garden City High School, Washburn University and Washburn School of Law. She also earned a master's of law degree in 2010 with an emphasis in operations and international law.

An Air Force Judge Advocate (JAG), Gill has been assigned to numerous legal duties in her 12 years of service, including military justice, civil law, international law and operations law.
