Gary and Jeannie Deiner of Olathe announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Deiner, to Darin Hammerschmidt, the son of Jerry and Vivian Hammerschmidt of Satanta.

Gary and Jeannie Deiner of Olathe announce the engagement of their daughter, Jamie Deiner, to Darin Hammerschmidt, the son of Jerry and Vivian Hammerschmidt of Satanta.

Darin is the grandson of the late Bud Ungles and Carlene Ungles of Satanta; and Elmer and the late Elaine Hammerschmidt of Garden City. Jamie is the granddaughter of Mary Ellen and Herman Deiner of Hutchinson; and Margaret and the late Wayne Anderson of Waterville.

The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Olathe North High School and received a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from Kansas State University in 2007. She is the property manager for Alliance in Denver.

Her fiancee is a 2002 graduate of Satanta High School and received a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from Kansas State University in 2007. He is a financial advisor with Waddell and Reed in Denver.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 24, 2013, at Prairiewood Private Retreat & Preserve in Manhattan.
