Morgan Murphy and Tyler Algrim, both of Garden City, announce their engagement.

Morgan Murphy and Tyler Algrim, both of Garden City, announce their engagement.

Morgan is a 2005 graduate of Ellis High School and a 2010 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed in Surgical Services at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.

Tyler is a 2005 graduate of Garden City High School, a 2009 graduate of Garden City Community College and a 2009 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in agronomy. He farms and ranches in the Garden City area.

Parents of the couple are Jacqueline Murphy of Ellis; the late Jeffery Johnson; and Arlyn and Renee Algrim of Garden City.

Grandparents of the couple are Blanche Erbert and the late Leonard Erbert of Ellis; Barbara Johnson and the late Don Johnson of Kansas City, Kan.; Treva Phillips and the late Don Phillips of Pritchett, Colo.; and the late Irwin and Melusine Algrim of Garden City.

A September wedding is planned at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Garden City.
