Jack and Vicki Adrian of Buhler announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenny, to Trevor Hands. He is the son of Greg and Peggy Hands of Garden City.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are LaVerne and Maxine Adrian and the late Lovella Adrian of Buhler; and Herman and Ruth Meyer of Castle Rock, Colo. Her fiancé is the grandson of Fielding Hands and the late Jean Hands of Garden City; and Bill and Mary Pitts of Garden City.

The bride-to-be graduated from Buhler High School, earned a bachelor's degree in education from McPherson College and plans to graduate from Newman University with a master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in ESOL in August 2014. She teaches creative writing at Commanche Middle School in Dodge City.

Her fiancé graduated from Garden City High School, received his undergraduate degree in music from Friends University and received his master's degree in communication from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va. He is the creative director for the Garden City Co-op in Garden City.

The couple plans to marry June 14, 2014, in Hutchinson.
